Since April 2026, Zhai Rao and Xiong Zehui, both born in the 1980s, have been providing free lunches, milk and eggs to seriously ill patients and their family members behind a hospital in Guiyang, southwest China's Guizhou Province, from Monday to Friday.
The two have also rented a house about 20 square meters near the hospital to serve as a charity kitchen, where they spend over three hours each day preparing more than 100 meals. Through their efforts, they hope to offer practical support to patients with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as their families.
