China's 2026 box office tops $4.73 billion

(ECNS) -- China's 2026 box office revenue, including presales, has topped 31.5 billion yuan (about $4.73 billion) as of Monday, according to industry data.

Chinese films account for eight of the year's 10 highest-grossing releases: “Pegasus 3,” “Welcome to Long Restaurant,” “Kung Fu Soccer,” “Eight Immortals,” “Dear You,” “Blades of the Guardians,” “Scare Out” and “Boonie Bears: The Hidden Protector.”
