(ECNS) -- The 34th China (Shenzhen) International Gifts and Home Products Fair opened in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, on Tuesday, bringing together about 4,500 exhibitors and showcasing more than 1 million gift and home products across nearly 300,000 square meters of exhibition space.
Held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, the four-day fair is expected to attract more than 300,000 visits from buyers around the world by its close on Friday.
This year's event features more than 1,000 first-time exhibitors and 10 new themed exhibition zones, with dozens of industry forums and product launches scheduled throughout the fair.
Exhibitors from sectors including food and beverages, smart technology, household goods, and personal care and cleaning products are showcasing their latest offerings. A dedicated exhibition area for cultural and creative products and intellectual property (IP)-related merchandise highlights the growing integration of cultural elements into gift design.
In the smart technology section, Chinese robotics company UBTECH is showcasing its Wukong AI educational robot and other products. An AI companion robot featuring the Talking Tom character and equipped with an emotion-recognition chip is also aimed at the children's gift market.
With year-end holidays approaching, the gift industry is entering a key buying season. According to the organizer, advance registrations by professional buyers have increased year on year, with a higher proportion of overseas buyers and a notable increase in participation by cross-border e-commerce and livestreaming e-commerce businesses.
The fair runs through Friday. Concurrent events include the 18th China Mobile Electronics Fair and the 13th Shenzhen Gifts, Consumer Goods Packaging & Printing Fair, as well as exhibitions covering cultural and creative products, pet products and the silver economy.
