(ECNS) -- The first Land Aircraft Carrier flying vehicle, the X3-F, for a low-altitude flight pilot zone in the United Arab Emirates rolled off the production line at Xpeng Aeroht's flying car factory in Guangzhou on Tuesday.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, ruler of Ras al-Khaimah and a member of the UAE's Federal Supreme Council, visited the factory and received the test vehicle. The delivery marks a step in putting bilateral cooperation into practice.
Sheikh Saud's delegation toured the production line, from carbon-fiber body manufacturing to final assembly, at what the company calls the world's first mass-production line for flying cars.
Xpeng Aeroht said the test vehicles will undergo "sandbox" trials under UAE civil aviation supervision. The company will next work on product certification, inter-emirate routes and operational systems for personal low-altitude flights.
