(ECNS) -- China's second domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, will call at Hong Kong during its maiden voyage in November and make the city its home port in 2027, Adora Cruises announced on Friday.

The cruise ship, a sister vessel to China's first domestically built large cruise liner, Adora Magic City, measures 341 meters in length and has a gross tonnage of 141,900, with capacity for 5,232 passengers in 2,130 guest rooms.

The cruise ship will embark on its maiden voyage from Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, on Nov. 22, with Olympic diving champion Guo Jingjing serving as its launch ambassador. It will make its first call at Hong Kong the following day. To ring in 2027, the cruise line has also announced an overnight New Year's Eve cruise departing Hong Kong on Dec. 30.

In 2027, Adora Flora City is expected to operate nearly 20 sailings during its Hong Kong home-port season. The sailing schedule will also include three additional sea voyages.
