(ECNS) -- China’s state-owned and state-controlled (SOEs) reported combined profits of 2.509 trillion yuan ($373 billion) in the first seven months of 2026, up 0.6% from a year earlier, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
Operating revenue totaled 46.447 trillion yuan ($6.9 trillion) during the period, down 2.4% from a year earlier. The figures exclude first-tier state-owned financial enterprises and their subsidiaries.
Taxes payable totaled 3.662 trillion yuan ($544.3 billion), up 5% from a year earlier. The asset-liability ratio stood at 65.6% at the end of July, up 0.4 percentage points year on year.
