(ECNS) -- Hong Kong retained the top spot in the Asian Cities Internationality Index 2026 with a score of 74.6 out of 100, up from 73.7 last year, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) said Thursday.
Singapore ranked second and Seoul third in the index, which evaluates how effectively 11 Asian cities engage with global markets and operate as international hubs.
Commissioned by HKGCC and compiled by an independent research firm, the index assesses 119 indicators across seven dimensions, including business, infrastructure, innovation, cultural interaction and governance.
HKGCC Chairman Jacob Kam said the ranking highlighted Hong Kong’s resilience and showed that global businesses continue to view the city as a bridge between East and West.
