(ECNS) -- China on Wednesday allocated 30,000 items of disaster-relief supplies, including tents, heating stoves, quilts, clothing, folding beds and moisture-proof mats, to support relief efforts following a huge mudslide in Gyirong County, Xigaze City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region.
The supplies were dispatched by the National Commission for Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief and the Ministry of Emergency Management, in coordination with the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, to meet on-site disaster-relief needs and support the resettlement of affected residents.
The mudslide had left three people dead and 265 others missing as of 8 p.m. Wednesday.
