Participants came from Algeria, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

During the program, they visited research institutions, pharmaceutical production facilities and hospitals to learn more about the development and practical application of traditional medicine in Guangxi.

At the closing session, participants expressed interest in future cooperation in areas including medicinal-resource surveys, joint germplasm collection, health-product research and the establishment of joint laboratories.

Since 2015, the Guangxi Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants has organized 22 international training programs, providing training to more than 600 participants.
