(ECNS) -- The 1,000th electric propulsion unit for Aridge's Land Aircraft Carrier flying car rolled off the production line in Guangzhou on Monday, marking a major milestone in the company's development of core flying-car components.

The unit was produced by Guangdong Huitian Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd., known internationally as Aridge.

Serving as the "power core" of the aerial vehicle, the electric propulsion unit consists mainly of electric motors and propellers, converting electrical energy into the lift and thrust required for flight.

The factory is equipped with intelligent manufacturing equipment, including seven-axis robots, and has an assembly-line automation rate of more than 60%. Its end-of-line (EOL) testing process is fully automated.

Hou Cong, vice president of Aridge, said the electric propulsion unit features a highly integrated six-in-one design and an 800V high-voltage architecture.

According to Aridge founder Zhao Deli, the roll-out of the 1,000th unit marks an important step for the company as it moves from independent research and development toward large-scale production.

The company said it has now established a complete industrial chain for the core power systems used in its flying cars.

The milestone is also expected to support Guangzhou's development of its low-altitude economy and contribute to the broader commercialization and large-scale growth of China's emerging low-altitude aviation industry.
