(ECNS) -- China's first Y-shaped pedestrian bridge opened to the public in Nansha district of Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province on Monday.
Located at the intersection of the Jiaomen River and Wuzhouyong, the Juxing bridge adopts a 120-degree symmetrical three-stage beam arch combination at the shortest distance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Each of the three beams of the Y-shaped bridge is 86 meters long and 10.2 meters wide, with a height of 21 meters. The steel beams of the Juxing bridge are divided into 95 segments, with a total steel consumption of 4,000 tons.
Six invention patents and 2 utility model patents are applied during the construction of the bridge, filling the patent gap in the construction of China's Y-shaped pedestrian bridge.
