Photography fan Wang Xichun, 73, shows his self-made large format camera. Wang began to make large format cameras ten years ago as he was interested in them. He said he originally knew nothing about camera-making and saw different parts only as toy blocks. But now he has made five large format cameras and also enjoys the traditional photography process, including developing photos in a dark room. A large format camera allows shift and tilt movements and better rendering of perspective, in order to create special effects that would be impossible with a conventional camera. (Photo/VCG)
