What's new in draft State institutional reform plan(1/1)

According to the draft State institutional reform plan, China will establish:

----a new ministry of emergency management;

----a new administration to oversee immigration affairs;

----a new ministry of veteran affairs;

----a new administration of international development and cooperation;

----a new ministry of natural resources, merging functions of eight ministries and administrations;

----a ministry of ecology and environment;

----a ministry of culture and tourism;

----a national grain and reserve administration;

----a national medical security administration;

----a national health commission;

----a state administration of radio, film and television.

China will merge:

----the Ministry of Agriculture with functions of 4 other ministries and establish a new ministry of agriculture and rural areas;

----the state and regional taxation administrative institutions on the provincial level and below, under the coordinated management of the State Administration of Taxation and local governments of all levels;

----the China Banking Regulatory Commission and the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, forming the China banking and insurance regulatory commission;

----the functions of State Administration for Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and China Food and Drug Administration, forming a national market supervision administration. The new supervision administration will also include anti-trust investigation and execution functions originally under the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce.
