Approximately 1,800 intricately crafted hina dolls on display on 60 stone steps in Tomisaki Shrine, Katsuura Town, Japan, Feb. 23, 2018, to celebrate Hinamatsuri, the doll festival or Girls' Day. The festival is observed on March 3 to celebrate female children and pray for their health and happiness. About 6,000 hina dolls and 15 giant “kyoho-bina” dolls, the largest in Japan, decorate the Arts and Cultural Exchange Center. (Photo/IC)
