A tourist looks at whale fossils in the natural reserve area of Wadi Al-Hitan, or the Valley of Whales, in Fayoum Governorate, Egypt, on Sept. 27, 2017. Wadi Al-Hitan, or the Valley of Whales, is a paleontological site in the Fayoum Governorate of Egypt. Wadi Al-Hitan contains invaluable fossil remains of the earliest, and now extinct, suborder of whales, Archaeoceti. It was designated a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site in 2005. (Xinhua/Zhao Dingzhe)
