Fisherman Chen Muhu reads in his bookstore made of three abandoned boats in Xidao Village of Sanya City, South China’s Hainan Province, Sept. 5, 2017. Chen, 78, has made the bookstore, named Bookstore on the Sea, popular among 4,000 locals as well as visitors. It has more than 2,000 books on a broad range of topics, which Chen plans to increase to 4,000. The 400-year village covering 2.86 square kilometers is a popular tourist attraction, so Xidao plans to transform 21 boats into centers to introduce local traditional culture (Photo: China News Service/Yin Haiming)
