From cars to bikes and umbrellas, the sharing economy has seen a rapid growth in China, in many forms. Entrepreneur Shao Dongqiang has launched a new service, sharable spaces, in Xiamen City, East China’s Fujian Province. The 120-sqm room is well equipped with a comfortable sofa, wooden desks, snacks, drinks, flowers and books. It’s open 24 hours to visitors. Shao has called the initiative ‘Street Lamp', saying he wants anyone to feel welcomed and supported in the space. (Photo: China News Service/Lyu Ming)
