Li Xianju, 78, helps her granddaughter Nana to exercise with other students and a teacher at Fenghuang Elementary School in Kaizhou District, Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality. Eight-year-old Nana suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a genetic disorder characterized by bones that break easily. Li found the girl abandoned under a bridge and then adopted her, registering her as her granddaughter with local authorities. Li has been carrying Nana to school. Nana topped her class in the final exam. (Photo/CFP)
