Tombstones are found in the walls of old houses in Silian Village, Shangyu City, East China’s Zhejiang Province. It’s said the tombstones were collected from graves destroyed in the past and then used to build simple shelters by poor local people. Today, many of the houses are in a state of decay and are empty. Some of the tombstones date back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). (Photo/CFP)
