A vulture’s fractured wing is under check in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province. The poor animal was sent to local wildlife protection station by a farmer. Doctors use four nails to fix the broken bones during a surgery. The nails can be removed at least one month after the operation. Vulture is listed as second-class state-protected animal in China.
