Cycling enthusiast Gou Huanqiang poses for a picture on a road leading to Tibet in June 2016. A native of Qingdao City in Shandong Province, Gou started his cycling challenge from Chengdu City, the capital of Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, on May 4 and arrived in Lisbon, Portugal after an 87-days ride covering 15,800 kilometers. The man in his late forties said he realized the importance of health after his parents and wife died of diseases. In 2012, he made a five-year cycling plan that concluded with a cross-continental journey, the most challenging leg of his program. (Photo: China News Service/Zhong Xin)
