Rescuers search for nine residents missing in an ice avalanche at a village in Ngari Prefecture in the far west of Tibet Autonomous Region, July 19, 2016. Authorities originally said it was a snow avalanche but have since changed their minds, calling it an ice avalanche, caused by cracks in glaciers due to global warming and rising temperatures. The avalanche was so massive that it covered an area eight kilometers long, five kilometers wide, and averaged 20 meters deep. (Photo/Weibo of CCTV)
