Besides his duty as the vice-president of China Artists Association, Xu Qinsong, 64, is an avid ink painter. Some 92 of his landscape works are now on show at a solo exhibition, titled In the Soul, Mountains Art Galloping, at the China Art Museum in Shanghai. His paintings inherit the style and spirit of Lingnan painting school which was born and flourished in his native Guangdong province in southern China. The exhibition runs through June 12.
