Zheng Zhongfu is a 54-year-old carpenter living in Huxian County in northwest China's Shaanxi province. Starting at the age of 17, Zheng began to learn carpentry from his father. Zheng began to search for information about wooden house construction online with the help of his son. He started to draft the wooden house in 2012. After four years of modifications and improvements to the design, Zheng began to build the house this year. By the end of May, the construction of the two-story, 300-square-meter house will be completely finished. Since Zheng's younger son is about to get married in October, he plans to make the house a wedding gift. His daughter-in-law is very excited to move in. (Photo/People's Daily)
