Tailor Wei Xiaochi works in his shop in Changchun City, the capital of Northeast China’s Jilin Province. The 53-year-old learned to make xizhuang, or western-style dress, at a young age from a tailor who happened to be also a practicer of baji quan, a kind of kung fu. Although his body suffers partial paralysis, Wei still maintains his passion for the craft, learning to use his left hand to help him work after a medical condition curbed the use of his right one. Nowadays, his career focus is to train young tailors in the craft but he also takes time to produce just one suit a year, which he calls an art-like creation. (Photo: China News Service/Zhang Yao)
