The fossil of a Yellow River Elephant skeleton is on display at a private museum in Lanzhou City, the capital of Northwest China's Gansu Province. The adult elephant measured eight meters long and four meters high, and weighed approximately 30 tons when it was alive. Museum curator Tian Zhiyun said he has collected close to 300 items, ranging from ancient animal fossils to pottery works, in 14 years and the museum is free to visit.
