The Egyptian Navy's guided-missile frigate Toshka (F906, L) leaves the Chinese Navy's guided-missile frigate Yiyang after conducting an alongside replenishment at sea. The guided-missile frigate Yiyang, assigned to the 20th escort taskforce of the PLA Navy, conducted a joint maritime drill with the guided-missile frigate Toshka (F906) of the Egyptian Navy in the Mediterranean on Sept. 6, 2015, which was the first time for the two navies to jointly stage a maritime drill. The 20th escort taskforce of the PLA Navy wrapped up its mission of escorting merchant ships in the Gulf of Aden and waters off the Somali coast and kicked off its global voyage on August 23. The taskforce arrived at the Alexandria Port of Egypt on Sept. 2 for a 5-day goodwill port visit. (Photo/China Military Online)
