Members of a Guqin association re-enact a traditional coming-of-age ceremony in Liaocheng city, East China’s Shandong province, Aug 10, 2015. The Guqin is a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument of the zither family. Historically, the Confucian coming-of- age ceremony has been the "Guan Li" for men and the "Ji Li" for women. The ceremony usually takes place when a young person reaches around 20 years. The ceremonies are now rarely practiced in China, but they are seeing a resurgence.
