A woman holds her newborn outside her home in Lecong town of Foshan city, South China’s Guangdong province. The woman gave birth to a girl in July and then returned to her mother’s hometown in Hunan province for a short stay. After returning to Lecong, she was surprised to find her husband and parents-in-law were missing and couldn’t be reached by phone, and the lock on her home had been changed too.
