A giant panda plays at a base in Baoxing county of Ya’an city, Southwest China’s Sichuan province, July 22, 2015. Two giant pandas - a male named Xi Meng and a female named Chuan Xing - have been returned to the home county of their ancestors. Baoxing has established a panda culture and education center. The county, which is an important ecological area on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is where the first giant panda were discovered and reported by French missionary Armand David in 1869.
