Yang Shijun flies his homemade plane in Changchun, Northeast China’s Jilin province. Yang downloaded the design from the Internet and took more than one year to build the plane at a cost of over 100,000 yuan (16,000 U.S. dollars). The plane has a wingspan of 9.5 meters, is five meters tall, and 2.5 meters long. It has a maximum speed of 120 km per hour. Yang built the plane in memory of his late father who was a pilot for 29 years. The plane bears the number 3695, the flight ID of his late father. (Photo/xwh.cn)
