200,000 affected by floods in Xinjiang (9/10)

Crops are damaged by floods in farmland in Yining county, Yili Kazakh autonomous prefecture, Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Rainstorms and floods have affected nearly 200,000 people in Yili and caused a direct economic loss of 7.9 billion yuan ($1.3 billion). No casualties have been reported.
