Cleaners with ropes attached to their bodies wash the windows and exterior of a skyscraper in Beijing. A man named Liu said it usually takes about ten days for a new cleaner to get over the fear of heights but some are not able to get used to it after years of effort. Many people think it a high-earning job but it’s also highly risky and easily affected by weather so the salary varies too, he said. (Photo: China News Service/Jin Shuo)
