An aerial view of Mount Emei in Southwest China’s Sichuan province. Photographer Tian Jieyan has taken aerial photos of the mountain since March 1995, winning a distinguished award in 2002. Tian is expected to release his photos this year. As one the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China, Mount Emei is home to Buddhist monasteries of the Ming and Qing period and also known for the great views of the sunrise and cloud sea. Mount Emei was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. (Photo by Tian Jieyan)
