The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands was established by Walter and Leonore Annenberg in 2001. It played host to many diplomatic gatherings. Almost every U.S. president since Dwight David Eisenhower stayed there at least once. Ronald Reagan celebrated every New Year’s Day there during his time in office.
