Giant pandas safe in quake-hit zone (1/6)

A giant panda is fed at the Bifengxia Panda Base, located about 20 km from the epicenter of a 7.0-magnitude earthquake on April 20, in Ya'an City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, April 24, 2013. Giant panda habitats near the epicenter of the earthquake that jolted Lushan County of Ya'an City have suffered only minor effects from the natural disaster. All 61 giant pandas at Bifengxia Panda Base are safe, according to local authorities. (Xinhua/Li Ziheng)
