Terracotta portrait discovered in N China's prehistoric site (1/4)

Photo taken on July 3, 2012 shows the repaired terracotta portrait that has been discovered in the prehistoric site of Hongshan Culture in Aohanqi, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A 0.55-meter terracotta portrait was unearthed during a survey by archaeologists from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Aohanqi Museum. The portrait is expected to be the king of the late Hongshan Culture period which dates back to 3290 BC. (Xinhua/Wang Yongji)
