Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang engaged in a chat with Wang Jian, founder of Alibaba Cloud, at the third China International Supply Chain Expo on Thursday in Beijing.
Huang offered advice to young people, emphasizing the importance of developing critical thinking. He stressed that while artificial intelligence is becoming more powerful and accessible, uniquely human qualities like critical thinking remain irreplaceable.
Huang expressed jealousy of today’s younger generation, who have the opportunity to grow up with AI companions. Just like R2-D2 in Star Wars, AI will accompany them throughout their lives, remembering every step of their journey, he said.
AI will define the next century, Huang remarked, noting the remarkable progress China has made in the field. He looks forward to sitting down with his Chinese counterparts again a decade later to reflect on the exponential advances in AI technology. (Gong Weiwiei)
