Insights丨North Macedonian Ambassador highlights promising China-ties and expresses hopes for more investment

The Fourth China Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair opened last Thursday. During an interview with China News Network, the Ambassador of North Macedonia to China Sashko Nasev highlighted the completion of the Kičevo–Ohrid Highway with a Chinese partner, showcasing successful infrastructure cooperation.

He looks forward to further Chinese investment in green energy, noting nearly half of North Macedonia’s power comes from renewables, with ample water, solar, and wind resources. He also observed rising numbers of Macedonian tourists and business visitors to China, and hopes for mutually beneficial growth in culture, trade, investment, and youth exchanges for even greater shared success.
