Newly-developed rail transit product on debut at expo in China

Newly-developed rail transit products were on debut at an international rail transit expo in Zhuzhou City, central China's Hunan Province on Saturday. 　

Super-autonomous Rail Rapid Transit, which is a newly-developed rail transit product running on virtual tracks. 　

"Smart and green are the direction of rail transit development. This train has these characteristics," said Li Chunming, system R%26amp;D Supervisor, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co. Ltd, "Smart is embodied in sensing the virtual track on the ground, through image identification and Beidou Navigation Satellite System, thus realizing fully automatic driving." 　

This train uses high-energy lithium battery storage technology and can run 25 kilometers with 10 minutes of charging, he added. 　

China's first toothed rail train "Snow Mountain Rail Transit," a newly-developed rail transit product with luxurious interior, is another highlight of the expo. 　

The first gear rail train in China adopts the "wheel-rail + gear rail" double-system traction mode, with the highest running speed up to 120km/h in the　wheel-rail section and 40km/h in the gear rail section. 　

This type of train uses a large curved sightseeing glass window to maximize the passengers' viewing experience, leading a new trend in the future of rail transportation, according to Chen Zheng,Toothed-rail train designer, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co. Ltd.
