Hangzhou Asian Games Village adopts green, smart and sustainable technologies

A media open day was held at the Asian Games Village in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, on Tuesday.  

Journalists first came to the volunteer service center. It is understood that during the Asian Games, there will be more than 1,300 volunteers to provide volunteer services for the village athletes, team officials, technical officials, and media personnel. In the volunteer service hall on the first floor, different cultural experience activities will be offered every day.  

There are well-equipped cultural houses and commercial streets in the Asian Games Village. In addition to traditional culture, such as guzheng performances, tea art displays, and intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, there are modern bronze carvings, silk customization, intelligent portraits, and other exhibits in cultural houses.    

The journalists also visited the intelligent experience center and the zero-waste life house, where they experienced the all-around service and some intelligent and leisure projects. Among them, the zero-waste life house catches their eyes. All the tables, chairs, and benches are made of environmentally friendly paper. Athletes can experience the low-carbon Asian Games through interactive games, knowledge popularization Q&A.  

It is reported that the Hangzhou Asian Games Village covers a total area of 1.13 million square meters, consisting of the athletes' village, technical officials' village, and media village. It is the largest non-competition venue of the Asian Games and will serve the most individuals during the Games.
