Archaeologists conducted the fourth excavation of the ruins of an ancient city in north China's Hebei Province. The planned excavation area is 400 square meters, and the excavation work is expected to be completed by the end of October.

The Bairen Town Site, in Longyao County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province was an important city during the Warring State Period (475-221 BC), and it is one of the better preserved large ancient cities in China. The excavation was carried out by teachers and students from the Renmin University of China.

The goal of this excavation is to further explore the period and site change process of Bairen Town, enrich the understanding of the construction layout and functional zoning of Bairen Town, and provide more abundant data for future academic research and protection of the site.
