Putian Station of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway was newly built on Tuesday.
With large-scale road maintenance machinery, operators finished the fine adjustment of the last 900-meter ballasted tracks, marking the smooth completion of fine adjustment of the whole Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway tracks and laying a solid foundation for the next step of the joint adjustment and test for the entire line.
The track fine adjustment of the railway is a crucial process before the operation of a new railway. It mainly fine-adjusts some indicators, such as rail gauge, level, and spatial distortion, to eliminate the rail's dynamic and static deviation and ensure the train's smooth operation after its opening.
With a designed speed of 350 km per hour, the 277-km Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway is expected to slash the travel time from the province's capital Fuzhou to the tourist attraction, Xiamen, within one hour.
The north end of the railway connects the planned Wenzhou-Fuzhou high-speed railway, and the south end connects the planned Zhangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway. It is a vital part of the Ningbo-Guangzhou high-speed railway.
The Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway is expected to be ready for operation by the end of September, according to an official from China Railway Nanchang Group Co., Ltd.
