(ECNS) -- A golden mummy exhibition opened to visitors in Shanghai on Tuesday.
Six golden mummies from Egypt became the focus of the exhibition.
Their histories can be traced back to the Greco-Roman Period (332 BC-642 BC).
The exhibition also collected 11 Fayum mummy portraits (realistic paintings of people's faces on wooden panels) from some 2,000 year ago, 2 gilded and painted mummy masks and others.
The exhibits are part of a cooperative itinerant exhibition between China's Meet You Museum and Britain's Manchester Museum.
The tour is aimed to boost cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
Meet You Museum in Shanghai offers visitors eight to 10 authentic art exhibitions each year.
