(ECNS) -- The Universal Beijing Resort (UBR) announced Monday it is to open to the public on Sept. 20, which coincides with this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Sept. 19 to 21.
According to Qunar, a Chinese online travel agency, the search volume of air tickets destined for Beijing during the holiday on the platform is 11 times that of the same period last week.
Data from Qunar also shows that the search volume of the hotels near the UBR on the platform increased more than 10 times that of the same period last week.
The opening of the UBR will upgrade the consumption on its nearby supporting facilities such as hotels and restaurants.
Studies conducted by Qunar found that the average occupancy time of hotels near the UBR is increasing and over 30 percent people tend to stay one more night.
The resort includes the highly anticipated Universal Studios Beijing theme park, the Universal CityWalk and two hotels, while are all to be opened simultaneously.
With seven themed lands covering 37 recreational facilities and landmark attractions, as well as 24 entertainment shows, it will give tourists an immersive visiting experience.
