(ECNS) -- The Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone with an area of 200,000 square meters in Beijing is under construction.

Daxing Hydrogen Energy Exchange Center, with a building area of 4,888 square meters, will officially open to the public at the end of May.

The hydrogen refueling demonstration station with a reckoned daily fueling capacity at 4.8 tons is by far the largest in the world.

It is equipped with 8 hydrogen refueling apparatuses and 16 hydrogen refueling guns, which can refuel 16 fuel cell vehicles simultaneously, providing services for about 600 vehicles a day.

The hydrogen unloading, storage, compression and refueling capacities of the station are the largest on the globe, said Cha Zhiwei, chairman of Hypower Inc.
