(ECNS) -- More than 4,000 left-behind women were employed and over 300 households were lifted out of poverty, after 100 poverty alleviation workshops were set up across Guizhou Province with annual output of 60 million yuan(about 9.2 million U.S. dollars)...

This is "an embroidery needle" miracle created by NPC deputy, Shi Liping, also the seventh generation inheritor of Tongren "Songtao Miao Embroidery".

In 2008, after 8 years of investigation, Shi decided to found a company to preserve the distinctive Miao embroidery and bring the endangered tradition back to life.

"Our embroidery products have been sold to 67 countries and regions. If not affected by the pandemic, our overseas orders usually account for 60%-70% of the total of embroidery products, generating about 50 million yuan(about $7.66 mln)in sales," Shi said.

However, livestreaming e-commerce has paved a new way for Shi's Miao embroidery amid the pandemic.

"We livestreamed on Feb. 27 and sold products worth tens of thousands of yuan within a few minutes. I realized we should develop the industry by using more advanced techniques," Shi added.

The success of Shi's embroidery industry has attracted the post-90s and post-00s, the happiest thing for Shi. She believes the participation of the young generation not only helps inherit and pass on traditional culture, but also promote the rural revitalization.
