(ECNS) -- 75-year-old grandma Yuan and 79-year-old grandpa Xie have both recovered from the novel coronavirus in Hunan Province.
They visited relatives in Hunan from Wuhan during the Spring Festival and were admitted into hospital there.
In the ICU, they shot videos using nurses' phones to encourage each other.
Grandma Yuan said, "This is the longest we have been apart in our 50-year-marriage. I want to hold him."
Xie recovered on Feb. 7, followed by Yuan six days later.
She was transferred to another hospital to continue treatment for another illness.
Xie greeted her in the ward with flowers.
Grandpa Xie said, "These past years have not been easy, we have survived another ordeal, and we will live for another 20 years."
