Airports in Xiangyang, Enshi and Shennongjia in Central China's Hubei province, which was seriously hit by novel coronavirus, will resume operations, starting Wednesday, Chutian Metropolis Daily reported on Tuesday.

Flight GJ8997 will take off at 7:35 am on Wednesday from Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, and land at the Enshi airport at about 10 am. An hour later, the return flight GJ8998 will depart from Enshi and arrive at Hangzhou at 12:50 pm, according to the newspaper.

On March 17, Enshi reported zero cases of COVID-19 and its eight counties have been identified as low-risk areas. On Friday, all staff members of the Enshi airport returned to work.

As for the reopening of Wuhan Tianhe International Airport in Wuhan, the hardest-hit city by the virus in China, Hubei Airports Group Company said it has not received any notice from the Civil Aviation Administration of China yet.

Earlier on Tuesday, Hubei provincial government announced that Wuhan will open travel to outside the city on April 8, with other parts of Hubei ending their lockdown on Wednesday.
