(ECNS) — The third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) concluded in Beijing on Sunday, marked by the signing of more than 6,000 cooperation agreements and partnership intentions, according to Li Xingqian, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
This year's edition brought together 1,200 enterprises and institutions from both China and abroad, drawing over 210,000 online and offline attendees — a 5 percent increase compared to the previous year. A total of 152 new products, technologies, and services debuted at the expo, representing a 67 percent year-on-year rise. Exhibitors also established collaborative links with more than 42,000 upstream and downstream enterprises across various sectors.
International participation at CISCE has consistently increased since its inception. Overseas exhibitors accounted for 35 percent of the total this year, up from 26 percent at the first expo and 32 percent at the second. More than 65 percent of all exhibitors were Global Fortune 500 companies or industry-leading enterprises. The number of countries and regions represented expanded to 75, compared to 55 at the inaugural event.
Yang Xiaojuan, Director-General of CCPIT's Industry Promotion Department, noted that the expo attracted a strong mix of returning exhibitors and first-time participants, with many international professionals transitioning from attendees to exhibitors. Exhibitor satisfaction reached an impressive 95 percent, with many expressing plans to expand their participation next year by bringing along more global suppliers and clients
Li emphasized that CISCE's primary goal is not short-term transactions but fostering sustainable, long-term cooperation across global supply chains. A newly formed Alliance of Chinese and Foreign Exhibitors will collaborate with CCPIT's industry committees to provide year-round services to enterprises, effectively creating a "never-ending supply chain expo."
During the expo's closing ceremony, 102 companies and organizations — including Honeywell, GE Healthcare, and Siemens — secured exhibition agreements for the fourth CISCE, scheduled for next year, reflecting a 50 percent increase over last year's figure.
